Specialist counseling center for the grief of children, adolescents, and their social environment The Marienkäfer e.V. provides support to grieving children, adolescents, young adults, and their relatives free of charge. They also advise and support the social environment of the person experiencing loss.
We offer:
- Training and advice for professionals who are regularly in contact with children and young people (such as teachers, educators, daycare centers, school staff, medical staff, sports clubs, etc.)
- Advice for the social environment in all types of severe loss experiences (such as separation of parents, death of a relative, change from daycare to school, change to secondary school, relocation, etc.)
- Support and advice for children, young people, and their family system before, during, and after the death of a parent
- Projects and collaborations with daycare centers, schools, youth centers, social institutions (such as hospitals, nursing homes, retirement homes, hospices etc.)
Our main aim is to ensure that children and adolescents can continue to develop positively, and that young people feel that they are not alone with their fate. This includes among other things coping with loss.
About the Engagement
Time and again, Marienkäfer e.V. receives inquiries from daycare centers, schools, and other educational institutions on how to deal with the topics of death, grief, and loss with children and young people.
The Dr. Otto and Margarete Graber Foundation supports the implementation of individualized training courses that are precisely tailored to the needs of the respective institution.
If you are interested in a training course, please contact Marienkäfer e.V. .
