The singer and composer Déborah Biver became first known when she performed at a talent show at a music festival in 2015. She recorded her first album with eight tracks in 2016. The young woman from Belgium and Pau lives now in Paris. It is the guitar that gradually led her to singing and then to writing and making music. Alone on stage with her guitar and her Pad.
“I experienced the real trigger on stage, during my studies at the art college in Biarritz. There, I experimented with different compositional possibilities. I also got to know the Kaosspad (sampler), which allowed me to vary the musical effects.”
Her songs appeal through their originality: “Sois un homme”, “Si un jour tu as soif”, “Too long”… offer a palette of emotions and styles that are both sensitive and sensible. Alone on stage with her guitar, Déborah gives preference to her lyrics. However, she has no desire to be pigeonholed under a particular label: “I define myself as a French-speaking singer and reserve the right to be diverse. I look for beauty in all my registers.”
